The V2V Empress is almost set to sail
Since August, crews at Point Hope Maritime have been hard at work to convert the 38.5-meter fast ferry from a luxury dinner boat to a passenger ferry that’s set to make its first sailing between Victoria and Vancouver on May 1st. The ferry, dubbed the V2V Empress, required extensive interior work including a complete strip-out of the old interior, and all the electrical and mechanical components. The newly converted ferry also features a new exterior design created by local First Nations artist, William Cook, who won first place in a design contest. You can view and purchase some of William’s work here.
